MLL supports families
MLL Uusimaa offers free support and activities for all families.
Our four Open Meetings Places (Perhetalo) and a hundred Family Cafés (Perhekahvila) are great places to meet other parents, get peer support and find friends for children and adults.
MLL Uusimaa also offers Family Support by Volunteers as Friend for an immigrant mum (Ystäväksi maahanmuuttajaäidille), Volunteer familymentors and grannies/grandpas (Perhekummi and Varamummi) and Friends for Children/Young (Kaveri lapselle tai nuorelle).
Our surviving bullying and school path -programs give aid at school surroundings for the youth and kids (Ehjäksi -hanke).
MLL Family Houses
MLL Family Houses are open and free meeting places for all families. You can find support, activities and groups for children and their parents. MLL Uusimaa has four Family Houses and a "mobile" FamilyNet.
MLL Family Cafés
MLL Family Cafés are places to meet other parents, get peer support and for kids to play together. Sometimes Family Cafés have crafts projects, events and information important to families.
Get a friend to learn Finnish with
MLL Friend for an immigrant mum is a trained volunteer that you can speak Finnish with and get to know your new home area. Children are welcome to join your meeting that occur twice a month. Mom, have you moved to Finland - apply for a friend!
Apply for a Family Support Person
MLL Family Support Persons like substitute grandmas and grandpas come spend time with family twice a month for few hours offering support and joy.
MLL local organisations
MLL has local organisations in many cities and areas, that are run by volunteers. Get friends and influence your own home surroundings by joining a local MLL organization.
